After publishing his first book of poems at the age of twenty, in 1956, Leonard Cohen has continued since then to achieve success in all that has made during his long career as a singer and songwriter, poet, musician, novelist and poet. While it is known from the beginning of his literary ability - publication of four collections of poems and two novels before recording their debut album in 1967 - Cohen has exceeded expectations in the music world, and has eclipsed his own literary work with its award-winning talent musical.

Cohen has received a series of awards and honors in recent years, several of which are beyond their musical talent and writing, such as becoming Rinzai Buddhist monk ordained, being made a Companion of the Order of Canada, and there was a Grand Officer of the National Order of Quebec. He has also won several Juno Awards, one for Male Vocalist of the Year and one for Songwriter of the Year and has been admitted to Canadian composers, both Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Leonard Cohen is embarking on its 2009 World Tour, his second in as many years, and this time they will be performing in the U.S. for the first time in 15 years. For a total of 73 shows, Cohen will travel across North America during the spring, and continue to tour in the summer in Europe.
