Dodge Coronet
I remember one Thanksgiving when I drove to Pennsylvania Cleavland, OH. You can expect to have some timing issues at this time of year, but when I went was great. The roads are clear and that it was a sunny day.
I hoped to return someday to return to the deer hunting season. Was the first day expected. You do not want to miss the first day of deer season. No way.
When the day came to go to a snow storm more important than you would ever see flying and surprised us all.
I was determined to recover. I had my wife and my two small children, but I I was young and stupid you know. Nothing seemed to prevent those days.
My mother had prepared food for the trip after yielding, I want to do the trip. But I told him it would be great.
I remember a Dodge Coronet with Posi-trac rear. This in turn will be very important, as the day unfolded.
Normally, it takes about 3 hours to make the trip but we soon realized that it would be much longer.
Throughout the trip we saw dozens of cars spinning and spitting. We, knowing that if he ever was arrested, would not move again. You can only travel about 30 kilometers per hour because the roads were covered and Blizzard conditions were similar.
The wind was strong and blowing snow on us. It was very nerveracking to say the least.
Children sleeping in the back seat, while the wife and I were worried if we do. I have faith and determination. And with the help this old Dodge, we have kept alive, as more and more cars trapped in the galleries along the route.
The trip would be 12 hours long. I was very happy that we had an old coffee can in the car, I had to make good use if you know what I mean. Remember, no arrest. 12 hours is a long time to drive with no stops at all, but we managed.
We do not make decent housing, but it was worth the risk to the first day of hunting season. Now at 54, certainly not think so, but at 25 years, could be arrested.
That by the grace of God, the old Dodge, a can of coffee and lunch, homemade moms.
