Dodge A100
Or Type 2 Volkswagen Transporter (or more popularly known as the "bus") is generally considered the ancestor of passengers and truck load. Taking after the VW Beetle ( "Type 1"), the bus was introduced in 1950. It unleashed a wave of imitators, like the Ford Econoline, Dodge and the A100 Chevrolet hamstring, still wearing some utilities like VW bus parts as their rear engine.
The basic idea of the Bus' is generally credited to Dutch Volkswagen importer Ben Pon, who in 1947 began drawing a series of designs for the truck. The first design was not aerodynamic enough, but was soon improved in wind tunnels and technological From the University of Braunschweig. Type 2 soon assumed many variations of the VW Bus Basic configuration parts.
