For the first time in 35 years, three Detroit auto companies, are engaged in a muscle car war, a firm that listens to a time when the engines large, confident style and speed are clear dominance of the automobile. With the introduction of the Chevrolet Camaro 2010 this month, the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger are now a worthy rival and powerful that could revive what was one of the most exciting battles the automobile industry. For the brand loyal consumers, they know what car you going to root for, but everyone is going to be a matter of choosing sides and go with the coupe that impresses most.

The timing to bring the Camaro on the market looks terrible, given the high gas prices since last summer along with the current difficult financial situation at GM. Without But a strong buyer interest is there with more than 10,000 pre-orders. In fact, if you want to buy all new Camaro, you will have to wait four to six months for the coupe to arrive, such is the delay in sales.

The Dodge Challenger became operational in spring 2008, just before Gas prices peaked. However, the car's retro appeal to the fans, proving to be one of the few bright spots for beleaguered Chrysler LLC, the builder of the iconic muscle car.

As for the Ford Mustang, although sales remain strong for February 2009, the challenger managed to overcome the Mustang on units sold. This unexpected event raised very few eyebrows, but then noted that the next generation Mustang is just weeks after its launch, strongly suggesting that many buyers are waiting until the new model is released to buy your trip.

The base Camaro is powered by a 3.6L V6 Injection direct, an engine that produces 300 horsepower while providing a major segment of 27 mpg on the highway. The larger engines, including a detuned version of the Corvette LS3 engine will also be available, giving drivers more muscular than the standard Camaro.

The Challenger is available with a V6 3.5 liters, producing 250 horsepower while getting 25 mpg on the highway. Larger and heavier than either the Mustang or the Camaro, the Dodge main attraction is its style circa 1970. The V8 engine is more popular HEMI engine power.

The current Mustang is powered by a 4.0L only V6 that produces 210 horsepower, while delivering 26 mpg highway. By far the weakest base engine of the lot, the majority of buyers who seek power will flock to a V8.

Although the three Car manufacturers are experiencing varying degrees of financial problems, muscle car from each company offers a bit of sunshine among all the dark. Finally, new models may help attract customers to Dodge, Chevy and Ford Showrooms, stimulate sales through the entire model line, a momentum in worrying times.
